Meeting the mini goal

Last week was bad …. I mean REALLY bad!  The kids and I were all sick.  My daughter’s temp actually hit 104 and I had a fever a couple of days myself.  I took my DD to Urgent Care and wanted to kick the doc in the teeth on the way out.  I may not be a doc but I am a nurse and have some common sense.  She was coughing and had a fever and the man didn’t check her throat.  I’m talking he didn’t even peek in her mouth.  Idiot.

Anyway, we are all getting better.  I’m ready to get back to kicking some butt (preferrably off of me ).  I wasn’t able to workout much last week so I’m gonna take it slow.  I just finished my workout and feel a bit nauseated.  I think I was trying to keep up with my old times.  I did 3 miles on the gazelle in 36 minutes.  Not feeling back to 100% yet and shouldn’t have pushed so hard today.  But, I’ll get there.  I want to get back to my old times but I’m gonna go a little slower for a few days.

I wanted to thank all my buddies for encouraging and motivating me since I’ve been here.  You are all awesome!  Also, congrats to the Wildcats.  I have to say that Wildcats and Jaguars ALL rock!!  Keep up the good work ladies.  But, Jaguars, we need to kick some serious kitty tail this week!  I’m ready.  Who’s with me?!  Let’s get ‘em!

    I’m with ya!!!!!!!

Take care of yourself.  Give yourself enough slack to recover and you’ll feel even better when you’re back on regular routine.  Feel better  (you & your family)

    Let’s go Jags!

I know how it is when you want to get back to normal but you have to take cues from the body and slow it down a bit.  But, you already know this.  You have been working so hard before this and you have been making some great progress.  Keep working hard and you can reach your goals.  Maybe it will be just enough for you to kick some kitty tail.  But, I doubt it!  That’s right!  I said that.

    Nurses make terrible patients….lol
I should know I’m the same way.  But you should take it easy until you are truly ready to get back in the swing of things.  It’s good to hear you and your kids are doing better.  Sorry you had to deal with such a moron for a doc….  I come across those every so often.  Take care.

I know you’ve heard the saying Mother knows best. Well who knows your child better than you ….noone. And being a nurse well I know how that is….lol. I am glad you are feeling better. Take it slow and let your body catch back up. Love ya girl!!!!!
