3 lbs to minigoal!!

Alright buddies, I need some help here.  I’ve got just 6 days to lose that 3 lbs!!  I’ve almost reached my minigoal and I really want to get it off before our trip this coming weekend!  My heart has been set on getting to my mini goal before we go on vacation and I’ve only got 6 days left.

So, to all my fellow Jaguars…I’m counting on you to help me out!!  I joined this challenge to get some support and to give some support so let’s all step it up a bit.  Like I said, I’m counting on you guys to help get me through the next few days….I’m working pretty hard to get this FAT off of me but I don’t want to do it alone. 

This week is gonna be a little tough as far as exercise.  I was “off” last week ’cause we were staying with friends and I wasn’t able to exercise.  I plan to do at least 4 miles a day on my Gazelle….more if I can. 

If I can keep my calories down to 1300 and I can burn 1400 calories per day then I can lose the 3 pounds by the end of Friday.  Wow, now that I see that it writing…it doesn’t make much sense does it???  Okay well, as for burning 1400 cals per day….not likely but I can at least get 800 per day.  That will give me a loss of….let’s see….where’s the calculator….okay that’s 2 lbs.  Close enough.  I can lose the other pound while I’m at Disney.  I’m sure that will be pretty easy with all of the walking we’ll be doing.

Anyway, keep me motivated buddies!!  PLEASE!!!!

Thanks for all of your support, you are all wonderful!!  I’m here if ya need me…at least til Friday.  I’ll be back from vacation and ready to pick up the pace on the 10th of June.

Confession: I slacked off while out of town

It’s true, I did slack off while I was out of town.  This time I wasn’t around any exercise equipment so I really couldn’t exercise.  I have a 3 year old and an 18 month old and no babysitters out of town either so I couldn’t even go walking.  Actually, there was no real safe place to walk as I would’ve had to take both kids with me and my daughter would have had to walk.  She’s so slow, there wasn’t really much point.  Okay, enough excuses….I have been “off” for 6 days and am going back to it full swing in the morning.  Last week I was able to do 8 miles a day for 3 days in a row.  Maybe I can make up for some of this time off by doing that 6 days this week.  That’ll get me 48 miles in a week, I usually average about 30.  Hmmm….technically, I only need to make up 12 miles….hmmm…I’m thinking here…..
Okay, here’s my plan for the next 9 days… I’m going to give my very best effort and try to go for 8 miles every day.  I absolutely HAVE to make up for time lost!!

Unfortunately, I’ve gained back a couple of pounds that I lost last week.  I figure, I have 3 days left to take it off.  I gotta do it.  Oh, also “Tom” as so many of you call it is here.  That may be part of the reason that I’ve gained back 2 lbs.  Still, I now have to lose 8 pounds by June 1st.  I don’t think I’ll make it but I can get close at least.   Ha ha ha….I just realized that would be nearly a pound per day.  Yeah, right!!  Okay, I may not make my mini goal by our Disney trip but I want to get as close as possible.

Also, I’m tired of the Jags coming in second place!!  I don’t want to be the reason we don’t win!  So, I challenge my teammates to unstrap the feed bags and get down to business with me.  Let’s get rid of this fat and kick some kitty booty!!! 

Are ya with me?  Oh, one last thing…I went back to my old “home town” sort of…we spent 7 years in Charlotte.  A lot of my old friends made comments on how much weight I’ve lost!!  Man, it felt GREAT!!  I’d estimate that I got compliments from AT LEAST 20 different people on my weight loss.  Talk about a swollen head!!  But, it’s also great motivation…I can’t wait to see some of them in November!!  Okay buddies, I need your help to get as close to goal as possible by November so keep me honest and motivated and I’ll do the same for you!

200 here I come!

I have been working my tail off this week!!  I missed working out Monday (travel day) and so I thought I’d better make up for it Tuesday.  So, I did 8 miles on my Gazelle Tuesday.  Well, then I got to thinking, if I can do 8 miles one day, why not do it again?  So, I did on Wednesday.  Then, today, I realized that I’m not going to get to work out on Saturday (another travel day) so I did another 8 miles today.  It nearly killed me today though and I did rest a bit after 4 miles but I got it done.  Oh, I also did my strength training yesterday and will do it again tomorrow.  I am determined to get under 200 lbs before my trip June 1st.  I think I’m on my way!  I have been weighing on my Mom’s scale while visiting with her.  Provided it doesn’t lie, I think I’ve lost another 3 lbs.  I’ll wait till I get home and weigh on my scale before I change my tracker but if it’s right….only 6 lbs to go to reach my mini goal!  Yeehaw!!   I hope all my buddies are doing well and I look forward to getting caught up with you all.  I’ve missed you guys!!  I’ll be gone again next week then home for a whole week!!  Wow, it’s been so long that I’ve almost forgotten what being home feels like.  Well, gotta go and take the kids back to Mom’s for dinner.  Have a great week everybody!!  And look out wildcats, we Jags are a force to be reckoned with now!!

Woohoo!!

This may seem like a small accomplishment to some but to me it’s wonderful!!  I went to pick up a pair of shoes that I had ordered and thought I’d look at some capri pants since I was all alone.  That’s right, all alone, no kids and no husband.  That alone is reason to celebrate.  So, anyway, I was looking at some capri pants for our trip to Disney in a couple of weeks and thought, hmmm, just for kicks and giggles, I’ll try on a size 16.  I knew that they wouldn’t fit ’cause it wasn’t that long ago that I had bought the size 18 I was wearing at the time.  I just wanted to see how far I was from fitting in them.  SURPRISE!!  They fit!!!  So, OF COURSE, I had to buy them.  Then, I came home and tried on my size 16 jeans that I haven’t been able to wear in over 4 years.  I remember telling my husband to watch out ’cause I was about to get mad.  These jeans were made a little small for a 16 so there was NO WAY they were going to fit!  But, THEY DID!!!  WOOHOO!!!  Actually, they were too big in the legs…just right in the waiste.  Needless to say I am very excited.  And to think, just about 3 or 4 weeks ago, I was happy to be buying a size 18.  I’ve been in a 22 or 20 since my daughter was born 3 years ago and a 18 just before that.  Okay, enough!  I just had to get some of this excitement out before I burst.

Okay, to all my buddies:  Congrats on all your hard work!  Keep it up…the payoff is magnificent!  I’ll be out of town again this week.  I’m looking forward to my life getting back to normal and being home for more than a few days at a time.  My husband finishes his training in 2 more weeks and we are hoping to be moving to KY after that….maybe the end of June.  I’ll keep you posted.  KY is just a guess, but we are hoping!!
